Governor Mark Dayton declared October 1 – 10 to be “Minnesota Manufacturers Week”, and Tina Smith, the Minnesota Lt. Governor was on hand to help celebrate!
Smith spoke during the Lakes Area Manufacturing Breakfast which was held at Clow Stamping Company and drew local government officials, business executives, and Legislators.
The group also heard from Kathleen Motzenbecker, head of the Minnesota Trade Office, on the necessity of small businesses to begin exporting goods.
Clow Stamping Company hosted a Minnesota Manufacturing Week kick off breakfast for over 70 local dignitaries. Special guest speaker was Katie Clark Sieben, Commissioner of Minnesota DEED, followed by a panel discussion with Senators Carrie Ruud and Paul Gazelka and Representatives John Ward and Joe Radinovich. Clow hosted a tour of their facility following breakfast. Later that afternoon, Clow opened their doors for public tours. What a great way to showcase manufacturing careers and opportunities in the Brainerd Lakes area.
After 36 years of service Cincy Van Horn has decided to retire from her position as Customer Service Manager. Cincy is looking forward to spending more time with her husband Earl, traveling, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Amy Engholm has been promoted to Customer Service Manager. She has been with Clow for 14 years, all in the Customer Service Department, and has been Cincy’s Assistant Supervisor for the last 8 years.
We thank Cincy for her years of dedication and outstanding customer service and congratulate Amy on her promotion.
The 29th Annual Summer Fishing Tournament was held Sunday August 17th on Gull Lake.
