Estimating Engineer

Pay: $52,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year

In this key role, you’ll be responsible for analyzing prospective part RFQs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing accurate cost estimates to ensure competitive and timely quotes for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate feasibility, develop manufacturing requirements, and estimate material, labor, and overhead costs for prospective parts.
  • Prepare and deliver competitive, accurate quotes to customers in a timely manner.
  • Manage RFQ execution to optimize capture rates, ensure fair prices, and meet margin targets.
  • Communicate effectively with sales representatives and customers to understand their requirements and exceed expectations.
  • Review new production results against quotes and initiate follow-up actions as needed.
  • Utilize company and customer RFQ systems and tools to generate quotes and supporting data.
  • Support business development by recommending new production capabilities and collaborating with customers to identify new part opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in industrial technology, engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of estimating experience in a manufacturing environment (metal fabrication experience is a plus).
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, advanced estimating software, CAD, and ERP applications.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Tool Room Apprentice

Starting Pay: $18.00 – $23.06 per hour

Are you mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and ready to build a career in manufacturing? Clow Stamping Company is hiring a Tool Room Apprentice for our 2nd shift! This is a unique opportunity to receive hands-on training, gain valuable skills, and grow into an entry-level Toolmaker role within our organization.

As a Tool Room Apprentice, you will:

  • Learn to operate a variety of tool room equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, saws, and drill presses.
  • Work with experienced trainers to learn tooling theory and basic tool repair.
  • Gain experience in blueprint reading, measurement tools, and machining operations.
  • Develop a strong foundation in toolmaking while contributing to the production of high-quality tooling components.

This is a 2nd shift position with hours from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be available to train on 1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:00 PM) during the initial training period.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong attention to detail and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in math.

Robotic Welding Operator - 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM, Monday - Thursday

Starting Pay: $18.00/hr – $21.96/hr

Clow Stamping Company is looking to hire a Robotic Welding Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a robotic welder to weld assorted items as per job card operations.

What will you be doing?

Adjust and verify weld program points.

Run production with robot welders for all pre-programmed jobs with supervision.

Work with Lead People to learn shop knowledge and any associated procedures.

Responsible for inspection of products during the production process.

Estimating Manager

Pay: $85,820.80 – $107,265.60 per year

We are seeking a dynamic Estimating Manager to lead our Estimating department and drive our pricing strategies. In this key role, you will help us maintain a competitive edge and achieve our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Estimating department, overseeing daily operations and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of quotes.
  • Develop pricing strategies for both new and existing products, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and company goals.
  • Maintain and update pricing structures, including index pricing, to ensure competitive market positioning.
  • Review and analyze blueprints and technical drawings to provide accurate cost estimates.
  • Utilize advanced 3D modeling and nesting software to optimize quoting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Mentor and lead a team of estimators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and sales representatives to ensure comprehensive, competitive, and accurate quotes.

In this role, you’ll operate press brake equipment to manufacture high-quality metal parts that meet precise specifications. This is an exciting opportunity to enhance your technical skills and play a key role in delivering top-notch products to our customers.

What You’ll Do:

  • Operate a press brake machine to form and stamp metal parts to exact specifications.
  • Perform tooling setup, material loading, and start production runs based on blueprints and work orders.
  • Conduct parts inspections throughout the production process to ensure quality standards are maintained.

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of experience operating press brakes or similar machinery is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and protractors.
  • Basic mechanical skills to safely set up and remove tooling.

What are the hours for each shift and do they pay more?

Shift 01: 6 am – 2 pm Monday through Friday
Shift 02: 2 pm – 10 pm Monday through Friday
Shift 03: 10 pm – 6 am Sunday through Thursday
Shift 11: 6 am – 4 pm Monday through Thursday
Shift 13: 4 am – 2 pm Monday through Thursday
Shift 14: 2 pm – 12 am Monday through Thursday

Will I have to work overtime?

Due to the nature of our work and the need to coordinate our working hours with a wide range of vendors, customers and other business partners, changes in work schedules, and work locations, required overtime and travel may be necessary.
