Governor Mark Dayton declared October 1 – 10 to be “Minnesota Manufacturers Week”, and Tina Smith, the Minnesota Lt. Governor was on hand to help celebrate!
Smith spoke during the Lakes Area Manufacturing Breakfast which was held at Clow Stamping Company and drew local government officials, business executives, and Legislators.
The group also heard from Kathleen Motzenbecker, head of the Minnesota Trade Office, on the necessity of small businesses to begin exporting goods.
Clow Stamping Company hosted a Minnesota Manufacturing Week kick off breakfast for over 70 local dignitaries. Special guest speaker was Katie Clark Sieben, Commissioner of Minnesota DEED, followed by a panel discussion with Senators Carrie Ruud and Paul Gazelka and Representatives John Ward and Joe Radinovich. Clow hosted a tour of their facility following breakfast. Later that afternoon, Clow opened their doors for public tours. What a great way to showcase manufacturing careers and opportunities in the Brainerd Lakes area.
